FEGLI is the largest group life insurance program in the world, covering over 4 million federal workers. The open enrollment period for FEGLI rarely happens – the last one being in 2004 – so September 2016 represents the only chance for people who qualify to enroll over the next 15-20 years. A new quiz can help individuals with this crucial decision-making process. On July 22, 2016, the men were called into the office of Camp Administrator Segovia where Acting Warden Garrido, Associate Warden Johns and the captain were present. Reliable sources claim that, "They were told their visiting privileges were suspended until further notice. Later that evening, the men were called to the Counselor's office and given official written a notice from Warden Stancil stating: "effective immediately, and pursuant to the authority in Bureau of Prisons Program Statement 5267.09, your social visiting privileges have been temporarily suspended pending the outcome of an investigation into possible threats to the good order or security of the institution," says A Just Cause. Source: A Just Cause Email Print Share View Comments Senior BOP Officials Bully Families at Florence Federal Prison Camp, Says Advocacy Group, a Just Cause Posted on Monday, July 25, 2016 at 6:00 am CDT Sources tell A Just Cause that on Friday July 15, 2016 that Acting Warden Garrido accompanied by Associate Warden Johns, a captain, lieutenant, Camp Administrator Segovia and two correctional officers allegedly flooded the small visiting room at the Federal Prison Camp in Florence, CO and intimidated visiting families into not speaking to anyone except the inmate they were visiting. "The prison camp visiting room is usually overseen by a single officer," say Lamont Banks, Executive Director of A Just Cause. "The presence of virtually the entire senior management team seemed to be an attempt to strike fear into the hearts of families and use an iron-hand approach to enforce a misguided, frivolous rule called cross-visiting that was created by Warden Stancil and sanctioned by BOP Director Thomas Kane," adds Banks. CBS TV News reported that A Baltimore judge has acquitted 4 out of 6 police officers, saying that failure of police to buckle-up a hog-shackled Freddie Gray in a patty wagon that resulted in his death is not criminal, it is only poor judgment. "If a parent exercised poor judgment and failed to buckle-up their child that was killed in an accident they would be charged and convicted of voluntary manslaughter or some other negligence-related homicide," adds Banks. "A hog-tied Gray is as vulnerable as that child because he is incapable of restraining himself from being tossed around a metal patty wagon," says Banks. "We should all be treated equally under the law," asserts Banks. On July 13, 2016, Associate Warden Johns allegedly threatened to throw any inmate who was caught greeting their friends and family into the "bucket", which is a common term for solitary confinement in the prison." My Son David and Clinton Stewart share the nephew named Cole who is currently on Clinton's visiting list. Under Stancil's rule, Cole cannot be on David's visiting even though he is a family member and if David says hello to him, he will be sent to solitary confinement," says Rose Banks, Pastor of CSFC. Source: A Just Cause Email Print Share View Comments Alleged Criminals Recruit Denver FBI Agents to Work for Them, Really? Posted on Thursday, June 02, 2016 at 11:30 am CDT Federal prosecutor Matthew T. Kirsch prosecuted and convicted six information technology executives of the IRP Solutions Corporation on allegations that they were involved in a two-and-a-half-year scheme to induce staffing companies into paying employees they outsourced to IRP. IRP Solutions developed CILC (pronounced "silk") criminal investigations software, and according to court documents, the Department of Homeland Security requested and received a quote for over $100 million dollars for CILC. "Although the primary charge was that the defendants misrepresented their success and prospects to certain staffing companies, the case was presented to the jury on the basis that their software was a phony and a scam," says former federal appeals Judge H. Lee Sarokin, and that "defies reality." Sarokin characterizes the case as "strange" and questions why Kirsch disregarded numerous facts that indicate the executives could not possibly have been involved in criminal activity. One of which was why the IRP executives, in the middle of a criminal scheme as alleged by Kirsch, contacted the head of the Denver division of the FBI to recruit federal agents to come work for their company. "Criminals avoid law enforcement at all costs, not recruit them to come work for them," says Lisa Stewart of A Just Cause.
